I'm 28. I picked up my first camera at about the age of 8, it was one of those cheap 110mm point and shoots with the flash cube. Shortly after I discovered my grandfathers' now vintage Konica SLR. It was done and I was hooked!
I pretty much take photos of anything I find interesting, but the subject must have a "soulful meaning". Whether it's a faded tombstone of a civil war vet dedicated by the soldiers father, or a timed exposure shot of cars in Detroit at night, it's all about having soul. Something needs to move me enough deep down inside, and probably hit a few emotions on the way, before I snap it. I need to "feel" the shot.
I'm also going to school for law studies or "legal studies". My aspirations are to become a family attorney someday, own my own firm, and hopefully to completely change the way we think about "divorce" from a negative to a much more "everyone's involved, and my law firm 'family' will be there 200%"-kind of thing.
So yeah, there's one non-photography related thing most people didn't know about me until just now!
My favorite photographers or people who inspire me would have to be none other than ScottJamesPrebble. Primarily because his work has taught me to have no limits in terms of creativity, as well as the fact that people DO like and appreciate those of us more crazier styled photographers.
Thanks for stopping by and hopefully you'll run across something that makes you smile!
